Petersburg Crime for Jan. 6

The following incidents were reported by the Petersburg Bureau of Police during the period of Dec. 21-Jan. 2. Incidents are preliminary in nature and are subject to change after investigation.

- Robbery (Individual): At 8:01 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 900 block of High Pearl Street. Summary: Juvenile was robbed by two subjects after leaving a store.

- Robbery (Individual): At 12:29 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 100 block of Mars Street. Summary: Victim advised he was robbed by an individual armed with a hand gun who then fled on foot.

- Robbery (Individual): At 1:30 a.m. Dec. 25 at S. Crater Road and Cameron Street. Summary: Victims (2) advised they were robbed at gunpoint by three masked subjects.

- Aggravated Assault/Arrest: At 8:40 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 1300 block of Oakdale Avenue. Summary: James Kelley, 70, was arrested after he shot his granddaughter (30yoa) in the arm during an argument between the victim and her sister.

- Aggravated Assault/Arrest: At 11:42 p.m. Dec. 25 in the 600 block of W. Wythe Street. Summary: Police responded to a disturbance call and heard what they believed to be gunshots. They were told someone had been shot, but discovered victim had been cut by bottle with which she had been struck. Glenn Moore has been arrested and warrants on file for a second subject.

- Commercial Burglary/Arrests x4: At 1:30 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 400 block of Bollingbrook Street. Summary: Police responded to a burglary call and apprehended four individuals who were stealing scrap metal from a fenced area at the rear of the business.

- Aggravated Assault: 3:04 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 800 block of Rome Street. Summary: Victim was shot once during an altercation. He is being treated at VCU Medical Center and is believed to be stable.

- Aggravated Assault: At 4 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 1300 block of Patterson Street. Summary: Victim arrived at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds he said he obtained during a business transaction that became confrontational.

- Burglary/Warrants: At 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 100 block of Perry Street. Summary: Warrants on file for Anthony Horton who is believed to have gained access to the media room and removed electronic equipment.

- Aggravated Assault: At 5:49 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 100 block of Mars Street. Summary: Police found victim on Pegram Street suffering from head injuries it was determined had happened at a location in the 100 block of Mars Street. Investigation continues.

- Armed Robbery of Individual: At 8:52 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 1100 block of Patterson Street. Summary: A city resident was leaving his house when he was accosted by two males, at least one of whom was armed with a gun. The two males took the victim's wallet and cell phone and fled on foot northbound on Patterson Street.

- Armed Robbery of Individuals: At 11:41 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 3200 block of S. Crater Road. Summary: Two employees of a restaurant were approached in the parking lot after closing by a male who displayed a handgun and robbed them of cash.

- Robbery (Individual): At 9:18 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 800 block of E. Bank Street. Summary: Victim stated that she was walking through the field when she was robbed by a black male who went through her pockets and fled on foot.

- Information is provided by police and sheriff's departments. This information may or may not be all inclusive. Arrests include summons. Arrests do not imply guilt

Identity theft

KELLY TOWNSHIP - A Watsontown woman was charged with identity theft and related charges after stealing information from a check given to a Kelly Township business Dec. 13.

State police at Milton report Peggy Sue Netzband, 48, of Watsontown, took routing and account information from a personal check written by Cammy Sue Guffey, 45, of New Columbia, to Miller's Grooming and Kennel in Kelly Township while Netzband was employed there. Police alleged Netzband then used the information to make a $1,684.83 payment via telephone to Ford Motor Credit to make a payment on her personal vehicle.

Retail theft

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Justin S. Whitman, 26, of Ashland, and Joseph L. Scheib, 21, of Tower City, were both charged with retail theft by state police at Lykens following an incident at the Walmart SuperCenter, Washington Township, Dauphin County.

Police say that both individuals allegedly stole a pair of boots from the store between 2 and 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 31. The charges were filed with Magisterial District Judge Rebecca Jo Margerum, of Elizabethville.

Minor injuries reported

Two Canton residents had minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 4 on Back Road in Union Township, Tioga County, Pa., said state police at Mansfield.

Police said Eva S. Alexander, 69, of Canton, and her passenger, Rodman J. Holmes, 18, of Canton, had minor injuries.

According to state police investigator Donald Wolfe, the crash occurred as Alexander was traveling through a right-hand curve and encountered ice on the roadway. He said her Ford Explorer began to spin, and she tried to regain control of it. He said the vehicle slid off the roadway, traveled down an approximate five-foot embankment, and came to rest against a tree about 50 feet off the road.

Man faces charges

after attempted break-in

PLYMOUTH TWP. - A Wilkes-Barre man faces charges after allegedly trying to break into a house in the township's West Nanticoke section Saturday night.

State police are charging James Henry Suprum, 24, with burglary, criminal trespass and loitering and prowling at night time.

The homeowner caught Suprum attempting to gain entry into the residence at 42 E. Poplar St. around 10:35 p.m., state police at Wyoming said.

Police probe medicine

theft at store

HANOVER TWP. - Township police are investigating the theft of over-the-counter medicine Saturday morning from a Family Dollar store, 665 Carey Ave. An employee told police she saw a man pick up two boxes of unspecified medicine, leave the store without paying and run toward railroad tracks behind the building.

Car battery stolen

in Hanover Township

HANOVER TWP. - A township resident's car battery was stolen from the vehicle as it was parked on Boland Avenue on Sunday.

Timothy Soto told police shortly after noon that at some time overnight someone entered his unlocked silver-colored 1997 Honda Civic, cut the terminal wires and stole the battery. He was unable to provide police with the maker or model of the battery.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Hanover Township police at 570-825-1254.

Plains Twp. police activity

PLAINS TWP. - Township police responded to the following incidents:

n Police are investigating damage done to the men's restroom at the OverPour bar on South River Street. Officers received a report from at 12:48 a.m. Saturday that a man smashed a mirror, knocked down a partition and removed a urinal, causing water damage.

n Esther Anderson told police at 2:43 a.m. Saturday that a female juvenile from Hollenback Street entered her Warner Street house and caused damage while Anderson was not at home. The girl will be petitioned to juvenile court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.

Woman punched

Daniel C. Light, 46, of Rome has recently been charged with harassment relating to a Jan. 5 incident in Orwell Twp. According to police, Light punched a 41-year-old female in the face while they were arguing.

Shots fired at tractors

State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief relating to an incident that occurred between Dec. 21 and Jan. 3 on Dolan Road in Herrick Township. According to police, an unknown persons used a firearm to shoot out the windows of two John Deer excavators parked on a pipeline. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the state police in Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Statutory sexual assault

State police in Towanda are investigating an allegation that an 18-year-old male engaged in consensual sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female at a private residence in Terry Twp.. The investigation into the complaint is ongoing.

Simple assault

Teresa Hongach, 45, is accused of striking a 34-year-old female in the head with an unknown object on Jan. 5 in Windham Township. According to police, the victim received five stitches from the assault. Hongach was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and bail was set at $2,500. Hongach was transported to the Bradford County Correctional Facility to await her preliminary hearing.

Criminal mischief

State police in Towanda are investigating a report of criminal mischief between the dates of Dec. 23 and Jan. 5 in a wooded area off Orr Road in Windham Township. According to police, the incident occurred when someone stole a wrench and other hardware from the cab of a log skidder belonging to Alexander & Ham Logging, before setting fire to it. The state police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to call at (570) 265-2186.

Retail theft charge

A Waverly man was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of retail theft.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Kyle W. Simpson, 22, is accused of removing a video game, DVDs and cologne valued at $233.42 from the Kmart on Elmira Street on Dec. 19.

Simpson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 29.

Man arrested for disorderly conduct

A Van Etten, N.Y. man was recently arrested by Sayre Borough police on a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Anthony Gerald Stutzenstein, 30, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said officers responded to the pond at Robert Packer Hospital Dec. 31 for a male, later identified as Stutzenstein, lying in the middle of the frozen pond. Police said Stutzenstein told officers he was trying to kill himself after a fight with his girlfriend. After about 25 minutes, Stutzenstein slipped and fell on his back, and officers ran onto the ice and pulled him onto the bank of the pond, police said.

A search of Stutzenstein turned up a black glass tube, which Stutzenstein said had been used to ingest bath salts the day before, police said.

Stutzenstein's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 29.

Fugitive located

An Endwell, N.Y. man wanted by authorities was recently located in Nevada, according to information from state police at Towanda.

Police said Marino Panaro, 59, was charged with retail theft in 2010 and failed to appear for a pretrial conference in October of that year. Panaro was recently apprehended in Las Vegas, police said.

Waverly man charged with assault

A Waverly man was recently arrested by Sayre borough police and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Clifford Eugene McReynolds Jr., 43, was also charged with two counts each of simple assault, terroristic threats, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and one count each of public drunkenness and resisting arrest.

Police said McReynolds attempted to punch and kick staff at Robert Packer Hospital and struck a security officer in the face Jan. 2 while he was in the emergency room for a cut hand caused by punching and breaking a car window. McReynolds also verbally threatened hospital staff and police officers, fought with officers while they attempted to detain him and broke a hospital wheelchair, police said.

McReynolds was arraigned Jan. 5 by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. McReynolds' preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 15.

Sayre woman arrested

A Sayre woman was recently arrested by state police and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Rosemarie Grogan, 40, was also charged with two counts each of criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal conspiracy to commit possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Police said Grogan sold oxycodone pills to a confidential informant on two occasions in June 2012.

Grogan was arraigned Jan. 4 by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Grogan's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 8.

Barton man charged with child endangerment

A Barton man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to information from the sheriff's office, Dale R. Gesford, 30, was arrested Jan. 6 following investigation into a domestic dispute. Police said Gesford allegedly threatened to shoot a female victim in the presence of a child.

Gesford was issued a ticket to appear Jan. 8 in Town of Barton court.

DUI charges

The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Charles H. Weaver, 40, of Waverly, by Athens Township police, on Dec. 14, on Elmira Street in Sayre. Weaver has also been charged with illegal operation of a vehicle without an ignition interlock system and driving with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Weaver's blood alcohol content was .14 percent on the day of his arrest. Weaver has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw Feb. 5 for a preliminary hearing.

Man arrested on burglary charge

State police at Towanda said that Kyle Anthony Cook, 24, no address given, was arrested for a burglary Dec. 17 on Route 6 in Burlington Township.

Police said Cook entered the house of a 29-year-old Burlington Township man and removed items without the victim's permission.

Business burglarized

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP - State police at Milton are investigating a burglary at Valley Ag and Turf LLC that occurred between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police reported a burglar broke an office window on the south side of the building, ransacked the premises and stole cash from two locations inside the property.

The burglar exited the building through a window and fled in an unknown direction.

The victim of the burglary is George S. Kotkiewicz, 52, of Halifax.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call state police at 524-2662.

Escapes injury

SNYDERTOWN - Carolyn S. Hower, 54, of Elysburg, escaped injury when her 2006 GMC Envoy struck a deer along Sunbury Street (Route 4012) at 11 p.m. Sunday.

No other details involving the crash were released by state police at Stonington.

Retail theft

SELINSGROVE - Angela M. Hopper, 35, of Shamokin, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for retail theft for allegedly stealing three rings valued at $74 in merchandise from Kohl's on Marketplace Boulevard at 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

Theft charges

MONTANDON - State police at Milton have charged Melissa Jean Raup, 28, of Watsontown, with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft by deception relating to incidents that occurred between 8:30 and 10 a.m. Thursday.

Police said Raup is accused of removing a PlayStation 3 game system from the home of Lance Strickland, 30, of Montandon, and then selling the system to Newberry XChange Pawn Shop in Williamsport for $70.

The system was recovered and returned to Strickland, police said.

Cash, games stolen

WATSONTOWN - State police at Milton reported an invited guest at the home of Mary Lou Engelman, of Dove Drive, Watsontown, is accused of stealing $360 in cash and 17 video games from Engelman and her grandson between 5 and 7 a.m. Christmas Day.

The video games were returned, but the money was not, police said.

Police, who are continuing their investigation, did not identify the adult male who stole the cash and games because charges haven't been filed yet.

Route 61 accident

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Leah M. Peterson, 30, of Shamokin, suffered a minor injury while four children riding in her 2005 Ford Freestar van escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash Jan. 2 along Route 61 near Reading Turnpike.

State police at Stonington reported Peterson was traveling north in the right lane of the highway at 7:15 p.m. when she lost traction while negotiating a turn to the left. The van exited the road on the right side and struck a ditch before coming to rest.

Police said the four children in Peterson's vehicle are 2, 3, 6 and 8 years of age. They are all from Shamokin.

Police reported evidence at the scene and statements from Peterson indicate a tire deflated on the van.

Peterson was not cited in the accident.

Ralpho Township police assisted at the scene.

Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - Felisha Albertson, 20, of 217 Third St., Ranshaw, was cited by Patrolman Jarrod Scandle for underage drinking and disorderly conduct in connection with a disturbance shortly after 6 a.m. Dec. 14 in the 1000 block of North Orange Street.

Police reported Albertson jumped from a window at 1006 N. Orange St. and caused a disturbance outside while emergency medical personnel were attempting to assist her.

Terroristic threats

PAXINOS - State police at Stonington are investigating someone making terroristic threats against the National Ticket Company.

Police say that at 9:58 p.m. Saturday, an unknown female phoned the company and threatened to detonate a nuclear bomb there. Anyone with information relative to the investigation, please contact state police at 286-5601.

Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Jessica Kodack, 30, of Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Joshua Wynn for hit and run to unattended property, failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police and careless driving relating to an accident at 3:37 a.m. Jan. 1 in the 1500 block of Trevorton Road.

Police reported Kodack was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala that struck a steel post that had five mailboxes attached to it, causing extensive damage. Kodack then fled the scene, police said.

Police said Kodack was traveling south on Trevorton Road (Route 225) when her car crossed over the northbound lane for no apparent reason and struck the post and mailboxes.

Driver cited

COAL TOWNSHIP - Kurt Dietrich, 48, of Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Terry Ketchem with failure to give immediate notice of an accident to police, careless driving and hit and run to an unattended vehicle involving an accident at 12:20 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Poplar and Spruce streets.

Police said Dietrich was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck when his vehicle struck a parked Chevrolet Equinox owned by Christine Nelson, of Coal Township, while he turned south on Poplar Street from Spruce Street.

Nelson's vehicle was then pushed into a parked Jeep Cherokee also owned by Nelson.

Police reported Dietrich fled the scene, but his vehicle was located at his residence later in the day.

Hit and run

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here are investigating a hit-and-run accident at 11:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Sherman and Hemlock streets.

Police said a Chrysler Sebring owned by Donna McCarthy, of Shamokin, was struck by a black truck. A witness told police the truck was turning east on Hemlock Street from Sherman Street when the accident occurred.

Police said the truck would have damage to its passenger side front. Anyone with information is urged to call Coal Township police at 644-0333.

Trespassing

LITTLE MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington reported three unknown people trespassed on land at 111 Lower Road owned by Chad Dean Williard, 36, of 141 S. Main St., Herndon, at 4 p.m. Christmas Day.

- An animal case-maltreatment of/cruelty to animal was reported at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 28 in the 11500 block of St. Audries Drive.

Storage unit break-in

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington said sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, someone cut padlocks from five storage unit doors at BME Storage on Route 487. The contents of each unit were left undisturbed, according to police. The locks are valued at $10 each.

Fence stolen from church

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Officials from Irish Valley United Methodist Church reported to state police at Stonington that between Dec. 15 and Sunday, someone removed 20 six-foot long sections of wrought iron fence, including two gated sections, from the rear of the church where the fence was being stored for future use. The metal is valued at $2,500.

Anyone with information concerning the theft is asked to contact state police at 286-5601.

Hanover Twp. police activity

HANOVER TWP. - Township police reported the following incidents:

n James Robert Park Jr. of Oxford Street reported to police that his apartment was burglarized sometime during the day. Park reported electronics were stolen from the residence. No forced entry was reported.

n Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on South Main Street near East Division Street about 6:30 p.m. Dianne Steininger of Hanover Township was traveling north on South Main Street when she was side-swiped by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The vehicle is described as a large black sport utility vehicle. Following the crash, the SUV fled the scene, speeding passed another vehicle ahead of it. The SUV should have moderate damage on the driver's side. Steininger sustained minor injuries.

Plains Twp. police activity

PLAINS TWP. - Township police responded to the following incidents:

n Kyle Mangan, 22, of Hanover Township, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after officers saw him urinating on East Main Street at 1:07 a.m. Sunday.

n Steve Dice of Rock Glen reported to police at 2:07 a.m. Sunday that someone smashed a window on his 2010 Kia and stole his wife's purse while the vehicle was parked in the lot of the Fox Ridge Plaza on state Route 315.

DUI

COAL TOWNSHIP - A 34-year-old Ranshaw man is accused of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at 3:08 a.m. Thursday on Route 61, according to state police at Stonington.

Trooper James Yankovich said the man, who was not identified in the police report, was stopped for a traffic violation and suspected of DUI once the officer approached the vehicle.

The man was placed under arrest and was transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital for a blood-alcohol test, police said.

Charges are pending results of the blood test, police said.

Two-vehicle crash

COAL TOWNSHIP - Two drivers were treated for injuries following a two-vehicle accident at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday on Route 61 near Wal-Mart Supercenter, according to Coal Township Police Department.

Police reported that Elizabeth Bright-Sandy, of 433 E. Seventh St., Mount Carmel, was driving a 2002 Chrysler van south on Route 61 when she attempted to turn into the store's parking lot and cut into the path of Robert Jones III, of 1332 Scott St., Kulpmont, who was driving north in a 2001 Dodge Neon.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene, police said.

Scam alert

COAL TOWNSHIP - Police are warning residents of a phone scam in the area.

The caller is asking people to go to CVS and buy a Green Dot reloadable credit card for $350 then send the card through UPS. In return, UPS will give the buyer $850,000.

Officers are advising residents not to participate. Anyone with concerns or questions is asked to contact his local police department.

Attempted theft

TREVORTON - State police at Stonington reported someone entered an unlocked 2005 Kia Sorento owned by Margaret Whary, 50, of 427 W. Market St., Trevorton, between 1 and 2 a.m. Friday, rummaged through some items from the center console and displaced them on the passenger side seat, but apparently did not remove anything from the vehicle.

Harassment

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Richard V. Zurick, 36, of 1956 State Route 61, Sunbury, has been charged by Trooper James Yankovich Jr. of state police at Stonington with harassment relating to a disturbance at 11 p.m. Thursday inside Dan's Den at the intersection of Routes 61 and 890.

Police reported Zurick is accused of striking Charlene Overton, 50, of 810 Carroll Road, Sunbury, in the face.

No injuries

LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night at the intersection of Route 147 and School Road.

State police at Stonington reported Sandra L. Paul, 69, of Dalmatia, who was driving a 2003 Ford Escape, pulled onto Route 147 from School Road shortly after 8 p.m. and drove into the side of a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 truck operated by Donald L. Deppen, 49, of Dalmatia, damaging both vehicles.

Paul was cited for a stop sign violation.

Driver hospitalized

HUBLEY TOWNSHIP - State police at Schuylkill Haven reported Amy M. Stoneroad, 31, of Dalmatia, was transported by Hegins Ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after suffering moderate injuries in a two-car accident Thursday night on Schwenks Road near Hill Drive in this Schuylkill County township.

Police said a 17-year-old Sacramento female was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier east on Schwenks Road at 7:12 p.m. when she crossed over into the westbound lane and struck the driver's side front end of a 2007 Ford Focus driven by Stoneroad.

The 17-year-old female was cited for failing to drive in a single lane.

Multiple charges

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Heather Ann Frank, 27, of 331 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, has been charged by township and borough police with multiple offenses involving incidents last month.

Frank is charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell with making false alarms to public safety agencies relating to a Dec. 6 incident in which she allegedly reported to Northumberland County Communications Center a possible attempted suicide on West Saylor Street in Atlas.

She also is charged by Mount Carmel Township Chief of Police Brian Hollenbush with retail theft for allegedly stealing a doughnut and pack of pumpkin seeds valued at $2.06 from Boyer's Food Market on Dec. 5.

Frank was charged by Mount Carmel Cpl. Chris Buhay with possession of drug paraphernalia involving a Dec. 5 incident at her residence.

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Chief of Police Brian Hollenbush has charged Jason Ryan Kobbe, 22, of 131 Wynn School Road, Elysburg, with two counts of theft by unlawful taking and one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle involving the Nov. 25 theft of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler from Delta Motors near Kulpmont.

Access device fraud

MOUNT CARMEL - Shannon L. Fisher, 34, of 135 W. North St., Marion Heights, was charged by Patrolman Jason Drumheller with access device fraud, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

According to a criminal complaint, Fisher is accused of using money from the account of Vince Guarna, of Mount Carmel Township, to make $6,986.57 worth of illegal transactions while she was employed as a secretary to manage Guarna's finances at his Cherry Street apartment complex in Mount Carmel. Police said the transactions were made between March 1 and Nov. 8.

Assault charges

COAL TOWNSHIP - Bruce Anskis, 58, and his son, William Anskis, 33, both of 1966 Stetler Drive, Coal Township, were charged by Deputy Chief Chris Williams with two counts each of simple assault and harassment, and one count of disorderly conduct relating to a Nov. 15 disturbance at Brewser's Sports Bar and Grille, 839 W. Water St.

Police said Bruce and William Anskis are accused of assaulting Paul J. Healey, 59, of Shamokin, and Matthew Davies, 51, of Coal Township, who suffered injuries that required emergency room treatment at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Urinates in public

SHAMOKIN - Andre M. Colon Jr., 27, of 156 E. Independence St., Apt. B-3, was cited by Patrolman Mark Costa for disorderly conduct for urinating at Water and Ninth streets at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Criminal trespass

COAL TOWNSHIP - Dustin B. Johnson, 25, of 1509 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Joshua Wynn with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest involving a disturbance at 4:50 a.m. Thursday at 1205 W. Walnut St.

Police said Johnson allegedly broke the glass on the front door of the residence of William Concini and then entered the home uninvited. Police said damage is estimated at more than $500.

Police reported Johnson also pulled away from police several times as they attempted to handcuff him following the break-in.

Johnson was arraigned at 3 p.m. Thursday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III and released on $15,000 bail.

Multiple charges

SHAMOKIN - Multiple charges have been filed by Patrolman Jarrod Scandle against Jeffrey Spencer, 22, of Carlisle.

Spencer is charged with flight to avoid apprehension, loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct, driving under suspension and a stop sign violation relating to a Nov. 24 incident in the 200 block of South Sixth Street.

He also is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, possession of Spice, public drunkenness and providing false identification to police in connection with a Dec. 31 incident in the first block of West Commerce Street.

Police reported Spencer was walking around and randomly swinging at people in an attempt to harm them.

Spencer also is accused of resisting orders by police as they attempted to handcuff him.

Forgery

SHAMOKIN - Tina Moyle, 38, of 238 S. Sixth St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Nathan Rhodes with two counts of forging a prescription on Dec. 11 at The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy on North Shamokin Street.

Police said Moyle is accused of changing the date on prescriptions for Percocet and Soma.

DUI charges

COAL TOWNSHIP - David H. Ervin, 47, of 206 Airport Road, Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Joshua Wynn with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and driving without a valid registration relating to an Oct. 24 accident in the 400 block of Center Street in Tharptown.

Police reported Ervin had a blood-alcohol content of .116 percent.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Dal T. Elliott III, 33, of 1102 E. Webster St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with retail theft.

Elliott is accused of stealing $345.96 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart Supercenter along Route 61 on Oct. 9.
