Monroeton man charged with possession of drug paraphernalia

William Howard McClintic, 48, of Monroeton has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

The charge stems from an April 5 incident in which McClintic was found to be in possession of three burnt glass pipes used to smoke "bath salts," and three small zip lock baggies that are commonly used to store illegal drugs, police said.

The incident occurred at McClintic's home, state police at Towanda said.

McClintic has been sent a summons which orders him to appear before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on May 22.

Monroeton male faces drug charges

William Howard McClintic Jr., 20, of Monroeton has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a recent incident at the Dandy Mini Mart on Main Street in Towanda, police said.

During the incident, McClintic was found to be in possession of a spoon with a burnt residue on it, as well as a small baggy with a white substance in it, police said.

Holly Ann Milliron of Mehoopany, who was accompanying McClintic, told the police that the baggy contained "some type of amphetamine," according to the Towanda Borough police.

Inside Milliron's purse was a small black bag containing numerous used hypodermic needles and spoons used to melt drugs for injection, police said.

Both Milliron and McClintic told police that the needles and spoons in the black bag belonged to McClintic, according to a court document that the Towanda police filed in Towanda District Court. Two additional spoons were also found in Milliron's purse, which Milliron said also belonged to McClintic, according to the police.

At the time, Lake was searching the hat, police said. McClintic had failed to tell Lake about the razor blade when Lake had asked him if he had any harmful objects on his person, police said.

It was the concealment of the razor blade and the cut to Lake's glove that resulted in the aggravated assault charge being filed against McClintic, police said.

The incident at the Dandy Mini Mart occurred at 9:19 a.m. Thursday, Towanda police said.

McClintic and Milliron were arraigned by Wysox Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Thursday. McClintic was then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
