Senior Judge Chester B. Muroski, presiding over Domestic Relations Contempt Court on Thursday, ordered the following defendants jailed for failure to pay child support:

Shane Chiverella, 35 Stanley St., Hanover Township, jailed for 180 days for failure to pay $1,704 in support of one child.

The following defendants have warrants out for their arrest:

PFA violation

SHAMOKIN - Jesse Alan James Bean, 19, of Muncy, has been charged with violating a protection from abuse order (PFA) filed against him by Deanna Troi King.

Bean is charged by Trooper Matthew Lada of state police at Milton with sending a text message to King in Watsontown between April 24 and April 29, which violated the order.

PFA

SHAMOKIN - Cpl. Jarrod Scandle charged Kevin Houser, 49, of Watsontown, with violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

According to a criminal complaint, Houser is accused of sending 45 text messages to his former girlfriend, Michelle Slavinsky, on April 18 in Shamokin, which violated the PFA Slavinsky filed against him.

Fires gun

KULPMONT - Robert Leroy Persing III, 22, of 1 Clarion St., Shamokin, has been charged by Patrolman Joshua Pastucka with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and violating a borough ordinance relating to an April 14 disturbance at 919 Chestnut St., Apt. A.

Persing is accused of firing a shot from a handgun into the floor of the apartment in an effort to stop his mother, Patricia Betz, from fighting with his girlfriend, Brooke Mulac.

Police said the disturbance occurred at 2:30 p.m.

Blazer hits farm equipment

JACKSON TOWNSHIP - Alexander Michael Douglas Dicicco, 19, of Herndon, escaped injury early Tuesday morning when a 1999 gold Chevrolet Blazer he was driving at the intersection of Erdly Church Road and Applebutter Road exited the road and hit farm equipment.

The Blazer sustained extensive damage to its front bumper, grill and hood and was towed from the scene.

The 1 a.m. accident remains under investigation.

Public drunkenness

MONROE TOWNSHIP - Jona Jean Hughes, 24, of 4685 N. Susquehanna Trail, Shamokin Dam, was cited by state police at Selinsgrove for public drunkenness relating to an incident at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday on Mill Road near Routes 11-15.

Police said Hughes, who was seen walking while highly intoxicated, passed out near the side of the road and was transported to Sunbury Community Hospital.

Car crash

RUSH TOWNSHIP - Robert D. Kolody, 63, of Shamokin, was cited by state police at Stonington for failure to drive in a single lane relating to a one-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Snydertown Road.

Police reported Kolody, who escaped injury in the 2:50 p.m. accident, was driving north when he attempted to negotiate a turn to the left. Police said the 2002 Ford F-250 truck exited the road to the left and struck an embankment before rolling over and coming to rest on its left side.

Theft charges

STONINGTON - Robert Joseph Gair, 32, of 612 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, was charged by Trooper Barry Wooten of state police at Stonington with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy relating to the Aug. 30 theft of a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta owned by Nicole Snyder from Route 225 in Trevorton.

Brandon Shane Herb, 23, an inmate at SCI-Frackville and formerly of Shamokin, was previously charged in the theft.

Man charged with fraud

State police at Towanda said that Dale J. Baldwin, 19, of Columbia Cross Roads was charged with access device fraud and identity theft in District Court 42-3-01 for an incident April 5 at Cudd Energy Services on Route 414 in Canton Township.

Police said Baldwin copied the credit/debit card information from the wallet of a 50-year-old Seminole, Okla. man. The wallet was in the man's vehicle while Baldwin was servicing it, police said.

Police said Baldwin then made several online purchases using the credit/debit card information.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Jared Paul Wyman, 41, of Harrison, Mich., by Athens Township police, on May 5, at Wilawana Road and Route 220 in Athens Township, following a motor vehicle accident. Wyman submitted to a blood alcohol test to determine his blood alcohol content and admitted to officers that he had been drinking prior to the accident. Wyman was arraigned May 5 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. Wyman's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14.

Man charged with aggravated assault

A Sayre man was recently incarcerated by borough police on a charge of aggravated assault.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Mark Allen Leonard, 57, was also charged with two counts of attempted simple assault by menace and one count each of tampering with physical evidence and disorderly conduct.

Police said Leonard pulled a knife in a threatening manner during a verbal argument May 3 at a Hoover Street location. Leonard fled from police into a residence and disposed of the knife, later admitting to hiding it in the residence, police said.

Leonard was arraigned May 3 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail. Leonard's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 7.

Assault charge

An Athens man was recently arrested by township police on a charge of simple assault.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Thomas Eugene Teeter, 51, punched a male victim following a May 4 fight at a Penny Lane location.

Teeter was arraigned May 4 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. Teeter's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14.

Man charged with public drunkenness

A Gillett man was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of public drunkenness.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Mark Arlan Briggs, 45, was also charged with disorderly conduct.

Police said Briggs reportedly passed out in the lobby of the Comfort Inn and Suites on Elmira Street and threw garage all over the lobby May 4.

Briggs was arraigned May 4 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Briggs' preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14.

Theft charge

An Athens man was recently charged with retail theft by township police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Ethan Ardell Culver, 24, was also charged with harassment.

Police said Culver removed merchandise worth $150.86 April 10 from the Walmart on Elmira Street. The merchandise included a gaming system hard drive, a tackle box and fishing accessories, police said. Culver is also accused of shoving a store employee, police said.

Culver's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 11.

Evidence tampering charge

A Michigan man was recently charged with tampering with physical evidence by Athens Township police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, William Edward Witkowski, 44, was also charged with possessing an open container in a motor vehicle and depositing waste onto property.

Police said Witkowski removed several beer bottles and cans from a vehicle May 5 during investigation into a motor vehicle accident. A witness to the accident saw Witkowski throw the sans and bottles outside the vehicle, police said.

Witkowski's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 4.

Waverly police make arrests

Waverly village police recently arrested the following people, according to a release from the Waverly Police Department:

Todd C. Stark, 25, of Lowman, N.Y., on May 3, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating out of class, following a vehicle stop.

David M. Maloney, 46, of Waverly, on May 4, for felony driving while intoxicated, felony driving while intoxicated with a .08 or higher blood alcohol content and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a vehicle stop.

Dodd K. Crawford, 44, of Sayre, on May 5, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a vehicle stop.

Daniel J. Haskin, 24, of Sand Lake, Mich., on May 6, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a vehicle stop.

Meghan C. Jarvis, 19, of Sayre, on May 5, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, inadequate stop lamps and inadequate plate lamps, following a vehicle stop.

Man charged with retail theft

A Sayre man was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of retail theft.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Lucas Richard Kinsman, 26, removed a television, headphones and a flower from the Walmart on Elmira Street. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $252.36, police said.

Kinsman was arraigned May 8 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and released from the Bradford County Jail on non-monetary bail. Kinsman's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14.

Two cited in fight

SHAMOKIN - Brian D. Shifflett, 25, of 904 E. Commerce St., and Geoffrey Koser, 27, of 615 N. Shamokin St., were cited by city police Cpl. Darwin Tobias III after a fight in the 900 block of Commerce Street at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday.

Shifflett was cited for harassment, while Koser was cited for public drunkenness. Both individuals were cited by Tobias for disorderly conduct.

Koser was also cited for disorderly conduct by Coal Township Police Deputy Chief Chris Williams after he allegedly yelled and was being aggressive toward the emergency room staff of Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital at 7:12 p.m.

Two-vehicle crash

UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle crash at 11:35 a.m. Friday on Route 147 near River View Drive.

State police at Stonington report a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Dodd Ashe, of Union Street, Pillow, was attempting to pass a slow moving 1997 Ford F-350 truck, driven by Daina Hedges, of Jersey Shore. When Ashe began to pass the truck, Hedges turned left into a driveway. The Santa Fe continues into a guard rail while the F-350 came to rest on along the west berm.

Ashe complained of pain following the crash, while Hedges suffered a bruise on the head.

Disorderly conduct

COAL TOWNSHIP - A 13-year-old male was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at 2:24 p.m. Wednesday at Shamokin Area Middle/High School.

Township Police Deputy Chief Chris Williams reported the male was allegedly disrupting class, breaking and throwing items and jumping on the desks.

Towanda man charged with possession of drug paraphernalia

Walter Bump III of Towanda has been charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred Tuesday at a Sheshequin Road residence in Towanda Township, according to the Sheriff's Office.

During the incident, the 24-year-old Bump was in possession of five hypodermic needles, a metal spoon with a residue on it, a red straw with a scoop on the end of it, and a digital scale with a residue on the surface, police said.

DUI charge

The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Letitia Lynn Frye-Irish, 40, of Towanda, by the Towanda police, on April 20 on the Merrill Parkway in Towanda Borough. A blood test revealed that Frye-Irish had a blood alcohol content of .164 percent on the day of her arrest.

'Star Force Academy' highlighted at sheriff's conference

The Petersburg Sheriff's office 'Star Force Academy' (PSOA) is a program to enhance the relationship between the law enforcement community and our youth with intellectual disabilities who have an interest in law enforcement. The academy was established to provide individuals an opportunity to experience the various duties of deputy sheriff. It is intended to be both educational and a community based service. The PSOA cadet will learn about court and jail security and community service through interactive instruction and presentation.

On Thursday, April 18, Cory Todd had the opportunity to address the entire body of sheriffs and deputies across the Commonwealth of Virginia at the Virginia Sheriff's Institute Conference n Portsmouth. His speech touched everyone's heart and he received a standing ovation.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Travis Chesla, 21, Wysox, PA, entered pleas of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness, and was ordered to pay a fine $600 and court costs. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Chesla for the offenses in April 2013.

Christopher Thompson, 41, Lockwood, NY, entered pleas of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offenses of Harassment, a summary violation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to pay a fine of $600 and court costs. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Thompson for the offenses in May 2012.

John Everett, 27, Canton, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to pay a fine of $250 and court costs. Sergeant Steven Burlingame of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Everett for the offense in April 2013.

Ryan E. Bush, 26, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and Public Drunkenness, a summary violation, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term equal to the amount of time he had already served at time of sentencing; Bush was also ordered to pay courts costs. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bush for the offense in March 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Darryl D. Hankins, 27, Monroeton, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary violation, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term equal to the amount of time he had already served at time of sentencing; Hankins was also ordered to pay a fine of $50.50 and court costs. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Hankins for the offense in April 2013.

Ethan Stiles, 18, Canton, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary violation, and was ordered to pay a fine and court costs. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Stiles for the offense in February 2013.

Melissa M. Frank, 23, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness, and Criminal Mischief, each a summary offense, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days; she was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3000 and court costs. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Frank for the offenses in April 2013.

Brittany Brady, 24, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness each a summary violation, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford Correctional Facility for 30 days; she was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3000, and court costs. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Brady for the offenses in April 2013.

Marino Panaro, 59, Endwell, NY, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 23 ½ months, and a fine of $100, for Retail Theft and Flight to Avoid Apprehension, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Christina Pomaquiza, 27, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from nine months to 23½ months for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Pomaquiza was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1150, and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.

Jason Ragan, 22, Monroeton, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $100, for Theft By Unlawful Taking; he was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $75.

Timothy Belcher, 28, Stevensville, PA, was resentenced, following revocation of his original sentence of probation, to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 23½ months, and a fine of $500, for Access Device Fraud.

Richard Long, 31, Indiana, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five days to six months, and a fine of $1,000, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.

Howard Edger, 57, Elmira, NY, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from two years to five years for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Edger was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $170 and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months.

Brandon Luckman, 24, Towanda, PA was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $300, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Michael Donnelly, 28, New Albany, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from four days to six months, and a fine of $1000, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Donnelly was also ordered to pay restitution of $333.90 and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.

Foux will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher if the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Foux for the offense in November 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wilmont Township.

James M. Vanderpool, 34, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault. Vanderpool will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Vanderpool for the offense in October 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Michael Muhollen Jr., 38, Burlington, NJ, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Homicide by Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and associated summary traffic violations. Muhollen will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Muhollen for the offenses in October 2012 following investigation of a fatal motor vehicle crash accident that occurred in Troy Township.

Adam Keily, 28, Ulster, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Keily will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotic Unit arrested Keily for the offense in January 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

Richard Long, 31, Indiana, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Long will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Chief Randy Epler of the Towanda Police Department arrested Long for the offense in September 2010.

Marino Panaro, 59, Endwell, NY, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Flight to Avoid Apprehension. Panaro will be sentenced on April 4, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Thad Warnick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Panaro for the offense in August 2010 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Kenneth Mulrey, 28, Exeter, NH, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and a related summary traffic violation. Mulrey will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Mulrey for the offense in January 2013.

Mitch Johnson, 20, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Simple Assault and False Imprisonment. Keith Kissell, 27, Wysox, PA, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of Criminal Trespass, and single counts of Criminal Mischief and Open Lewdness. Kissell will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kissell for the offense in July 2011 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Township.

William Harris, 23, Troy, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property. Harris will be sentenced on May 13, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper John Youngblood of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Harris for the offense in November 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Kyle Sparling, 19, Ulster, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in November 2012 by Trooper Wayne Dunkling of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Sparling will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department; which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.

Additionally, Sparling must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Michael Reid, 26, Kingsdale, OK, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in December 2012 by Trooper Wayne Dunkling of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Reid will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department; which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Reid must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Dylan Ward, 18, Sayre, PA, charged with the offenses of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Underage Drinking in December 2012 by Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department, was accepted into ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of six months. While on probation Ward will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Ward must perform community service.

Stephanie Lin Brown, 21, Shunk, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in January 2013 by Trooper Wayne Dunkling of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Alicia Anderson, 27, of Ulster, by Athens Township Police Department, on May 2, on Elmira St. in Athens Township. Anderson has also been charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Anderson's blood alcohol content was .09 percent on the day of her arrest. Anderson has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on June 11 for a preliminary hearing.

Derek Ryan Cirilo, 26, of Spring, Texas, by the Sayre Police Department, on May 10, on North Lehigh Avenue in Sayre. Cirilo has also been charged with careless driving. Cirilo refused a blood alcohol test on the day of his arrest. Cirilo is currently being held on $55,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw.

Sunbury police dog dies

SUNBURY - The Sunbury Police Department announced Monday their K-9 dog, a 2-year-old German shepherd named Brecken, passed away due to natural causes.

The animal was at the home of its police handler Patrolman Scott Hause at the time of its death.

Harassment

COAL TOWNSHIP - Randall Walters, 34, of 809 W. Pine St., Coal Township, was charged by Patrolman Chris Lapotsky with harassment for allegedly hitting Lawrence Miller, 47, of 338 S. Fourth St., Sunbury, in the side of the face with an open hand during an argument at 10:45 a.m. April 24 on Walters' front porch.

Threatens teacher

COAL TOWNSHIP - Matthew Dewitt Jr., 18, of 1008 N. Pearl St., Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Chris Lapotsky with harassment for allegedly threatening to punch a teacher in the face at 10:15 a.m. April 23 at Shamokin Area Middle-Senior High School because she took his cell phone away from him.

Restaurant damaged

COAL TOWNSHIP - The Don Patron Mexican Restaurant in the Plaza at Coal Township was damaged Sunday night when a car mounted a pavement and crashed into the business.

Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell said Darrell James Tidewell III, 23, of 241 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was attempting to back his 1998 Saturn from a parking stall in front of the restaurant at about 8 p.m. when he placed the car in drive instead of reverse. The vehicle mounted the pavement and struck the glass window on the business, causing it to smash. The frame work along the interior lower wall of the restaurant also was damaged.

The vehicle sustained minor damage to its front end.

Tidewell and his two passengers, Lea Tidewell, 57, of 241 W. Pine St., Shamokin, and Patrice Ramey, 41, of 214 W. Sunbury St., Shamokin, were not injured. No one in the restaurant was injured.

Tidewell will be cited for careless driving.

Canton man waives hearing

Jordan Thomas Fitch, 22, of Canton, waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence and other charges, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

The charges were for a one-vehicle crash that took place around 2 p.m. Feb. 7 on Upper Mountain Road in Canton Township, according to court papers. Police said he was traveling west and lost control of his vehicle, which collided with a tree.

The other charges were driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverages to minors, corruption of minors, unsworn falsification to authorities, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, careless driving, reckless driving, a safety belt violation, and a speeding violation.

Man waives hearing

Brian Lee Bastion, 43, of Route 414, Canton, has waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, careless driving, and a lane violation filed following a one-vehicle crash Jan. 17 on Route 414 in Canton Township, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

An affidavit notes that police saw that a Chevrolet Corvette went off the road and struck a residence at 5250 Route 414. Bastion told police he lost control going around a turn, due to his tires and the moisture on the road.

Hearing waived

Brandon David Cole, 21, of Everts Drive, Troy, waived his preliminary hearing to the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, a lane violation, and careless driving for a one-vehicle crash Feb. 2 on Fallbrook Road in Troy Township, according to the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy.

Police said a Chevrolet Impala was off the roadway, in a ditch, facing west.
