According to court papers, Williams is charged with one count of possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, three counts of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and one count of possession of weapon on school property, due to a scalpel being found in the duffle bag.

In an affidavit, Canton Police Officer Joshua Heckman said that while on routine patrol in the area of Canton High School during prom night, he found a blue Bugle Boy duffle bag on the west side of the high school, in the yard. Frustration can cause people to lose their cool, and the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify one such person.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, a man was attempting to use a wash bay at the Express Wash, 9710 Jefferson Davis Highway. He tried several times to make the system work, but was not successful. He pulled to the side and made additional attempts to start the wash to no avail. Apparently frustrated, he pulled something out of the back of his truck and struck the car wash control box several times. After causing extensive damage to the box, the man drove off.

The suspect was a white male. He wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a black ball cap. He was driving a Ford F-150 king-cab pickup, red or maroon in color. January police shooting ruled justified

CHESTERFIELD - The criminal investigation into a January officer-involved shooting has concluded and the shooting was found to be justified.

Shortly before 3 a.m. on Jan. 13, a Chesterfield County Police officer stopped out with what he initially believed to be a disabled motorist on the onramp to southbound Chippenham Parkway from Hull Street Road. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer discovered the driver to be the suspect in the larceny of a cash drawer, which had been reported stolen about 10 minutes earlier.

The officer attempted to take the driver, Frankie Pitt, 45, into custody and Pitt resisted. A struggle ensued for the officer's handgun. While struggling for control of the firearm, the officer was able to fire his handgun, striking Pitt, of the 3700 block of Cottrell Road in Richmond. Pitt died at the scene. The officer was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.

The case was presented to a multijurisdictional grand jury on May 13. The grand jury ruled that the shooting of Pitt was justified under all of the surrounding facts and circumstances.

An internal Chesterfield County Police Department investigation into the officer's actions is ongoing.
