SHAMOKIN - A Kulpmont man is accused of injuring his fiancee after allegedly shoving her into a bedroom dresser inside a South Third Street home Tuesday night.

Michael A. Olbrish, 32, of 702 Scott St., is charged with simple assault and harassment by Patrolman Shane Mowery. He was arraigned by the on-call district judge and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, and also is barred from having contact with the alleged victim.

The alleged victim told police she and Olbrish were arguing at 10 p.m. when he began smashing items inside a bedroom, including her cell phone, before shoving her. She then fled the home.

Police said she suffered injuries to her calf and breast.

The impact pushed the Jeep into the Suzuki, which was pushed into Jennifer Gemberling's property at 713 Center St.
