The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a case that illustrates how criminals know no boundaries. Early in June 2013, a woman from Rochester Hills, Mich., was contacted by the fraud department of Kohl's. They noticed some unusual activity on her account, and asked if she had made purchases from one of their stores in Chesterfield. She had not. Apparently, a female suspect used the victim's Social Security number to access her credit account and made two separate purchases at the Kohl's at 11331 Midlothian Turnpike. Upon further investigation, it was learned that additional fraudulent purchases were made from the Old Navy in Chesterfield Towne Center and at the Best Buy in Colonial Heights. In total, the victim had more than $2,000 in charges made to her accounts. Security footage from Kohl's revealed a white female suspect in her 50s or 60s, with long brown and gray hair and the same light-colored eyebrows. If you have information about ANY unsolved crime in, or fugitive wanted by, Chesterfield County or the city of Colonial Heights, call Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
