Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently plead guilty and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:
Daniel J. Doherty, 50, Roland Park, MD, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Trespass and was ordered to pay a fine of $600.00. Officer Matthew D. Chamberlain of the Laceyville Borough Police arrested Doherty for the offense in May 2013.
Joanne Mirabelli, 47, Tunkhannock, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Trespass and was ordered to pay a fine of $600.00. Officer Matthew D. Chamberlain of the Laceyville Borough Police Department arrested Mirabelli for the offense in May 2013.
William McClintic, 48, Monroeton, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a fine of $400.00 and court costs. Corporal Douglas Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McClintic for the offense in April 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Franklin Township.
Cory Stillman, 20, Sayre, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of eight days and court costs. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Stillman for the offense in June 2013.
Keith Johnson, 43, Sayre, PA, entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment and was ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 and court costs. Officer Jeremy Horton of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Johnson for the offense in June 2013.
Peter Venegas, 31, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Chief Christopher Hutchinson of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Venegas for the offense on March 2013.
Charles Garrett, 39, no permanent address, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Criminal Trespass and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of nine days plus court costs. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Garrett for the offense in June 2013.
John Vanderpool, 53, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of 120 days (suspended). Vanderpool was also ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 and court costs. Trooper Richard Evans of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Vanderpool for the offense in May 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.
William Witkowski, 44, Harrison, MI, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offenses of Restriction on Alcoholic Beverages and Depositing Waste on a Highway, and was ordered to pay a fine of $325.00 and court costs; additionally, the court ordered him to perform eight hours of community service. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Witkowski for the offense in May 2013.
Kevin Morris, 35, Monroeton, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of four days and court costs. Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Morris for the offense in May 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroeton Borough.
Karley Johnson, 19, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment and was ordered to pay a fine and court costs. Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson for the offense in January 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.
Justin Wilcox, 27, Troy, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathon Wilcox to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was ordered to pay a fine of $2000.00, and court costs. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Wilcox for the offense in October 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Borough.
John Gasper, 45, Troy, PA, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathon Wilcox to the offense of Harassment and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of 14 days; he was also ordered to pay court costs. Trooper David Kittle of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gasper for the offense in May 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sylvania Borough.

Cynthia Hammell, 39, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months, and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Hammell was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth in the amount of $250.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance in connection with her arrest, and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. An Agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hammell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Matthew D. Murchake, 21, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 11 months, 29 days, and fines totaling $1150.00, for the offenses of Forgery and Access Device Fraud. Murchake was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3325.00. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Murchake for the offenses in January 2013.
Terrance Maguire, 41, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from four days to six months, and a fine of $1000.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Maguire will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.
Trooper Joshua Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Maguire following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.
Dawn Hawkins, 40, Sayre, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Faculty of from time served to 18 months, and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Hawkins for the offense in February 2011.
Todd M. Pierce, 35, Monroeton, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months, and a fine of $750.00, for the offense of False Statement to Induce Agreement for Home Repairs. Pierce was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3569.00. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Pierce for the offense in February 2013.
Bryan Morgan, 26, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 18 months, and a fine of $2000.00, for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property. Morgan was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $229.00. Chief Douglas Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Morgan for the offense in October 2012.
Heather L. Raezer, 25, was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $250.00, for the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking. Raezer was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $70.00. Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Raezer following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.
Stephen D. Bixby, 30, Wysox, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of two years, and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bixby was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth in the amount of $100.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance in connection with his arrest, and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. An Agent of the Vice and Narcotics Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bixby following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Towsnhip.
Emery F. Johnson, Jr., 26, Laceyville, PA, was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of 30 days for the offense of Harassment. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $300.00 and restitution determined to be due and owing. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Tuscarora Township.

Doc Daugherty, 66, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Daugherty for the offense following investigation of an incident that occurred in Standing Stone Township.
Amanda L. Hazard-Powell, 30, Nichols, NY, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Harassment and she will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Trooper Michael Trebendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hazard-Powell for the offense following investigation of an incident that occurred in Windham Township.
Tiffany M. Chandler, 21, Lockwood, NY, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Simple Assault and Public Drunkenness and she will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Chandler for the offenses.
Gary Edward Eddy, 53, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Eddy for the offense.
Brandon J. Oakley, 25, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Oakley for the offenses.
Joshua Harry, 33, Tennessee, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and he will be sentenced on July 29,2013. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Harry for the offense.
Michael A. Pierce, 26, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended, Aggravated Assault, and Resisting Arrest; he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officers Bruce Hoffman and Nikki Hoffman of the Sayre and Athens Borough Police Departments arrested Pierce for the offenses in July and December 2012, respectively.

Keeley C. Richardson, 28, Wysox, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in February 2013 by Trooper Timothy Young of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Richardson will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Richardson must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Talada, 26, Athens, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in March 2013 by Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. Larry Baker, 22, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in February 2013 by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Baker will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Baker must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
Tracy Lee Vanderpool, 57, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function in March 2012 by Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 18 months. While on probation, Vanderpool will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Vanderpool must perform community service as a condition of ARD placement.
Marcus J. Cole, 42, Nichols, NY, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in June 2012 by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Cole will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Cole must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
