Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - Tammy Lynn Zeigler, 25, of 22 N. Market St., Apt. 2, Shamokin, was cited for retail theft by city police patrolman Nathan Rhodes after she allegedly attempted to steal a pair of tweezers, valued at $14.50, from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Independence Street at 4:34 p.m. Monday.

LeRaysville man charged with indecent assault

Dustin Tylar McManus, 18, of LeRaysville has been charged with indecent assault relating to an early April incident at Lake Bonin Campground in Orwell Township.

According to police, McManus is accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward a juvenile.

McManus has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on July 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Domestic dispute ends with charges

Roger L. Hitchcock, 57, of Rome has been charged with criminal trespass and harassment relating to a March 28 incident in Windham Township.

According to police, Hitchcock was involved in a domestic dispute in which he broke through the front door of a residence.

Hitchcock has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on July 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Man injured during assault

Zachary Clayton Sheldon, 28, of Wyalusing has been charged with simple assault and harassment for his involvement in a April 26 incident in Stevens Township.

Police said Sheldon struck an acquaintance of his multiple times, forcing him to fall to the ground. Police said the victim was found with blood on his face and shirt as he walked with a limp and complained of a knee injury from the assault.

Sheldon has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on July 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Checks stolen in Standing Stone

Summer Lee Woll, 34, of Wyalusing has been charged with forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property stemming from a February 12 incident in Standing Stone Township.

According to police, Woll stole five checks from a residence in Standing Stone Township and proceeded to use three of them at Flynn's Stone Castle General Store. The amount of the three stolen checks totaled $442.27.

Woll has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on July 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Syringe used for bath salts discovered

Cory David Briggs, 28, of Gillett has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a syringe in a vehicle he was operating on May 15 in Towanda.

According to police, Briggs admitted the syringe was his and that he used it to inject bath salts.

Charges to be filed in theft

State police at Towanda said Tracy Nicole Trainor, 24, of Towanda, is accused in a theft that took place between 7:19 a.m. and 10:04 a.m. June 13 at the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Township.

Police said Trainor stole money from the purse of a 30-year-old Monroeton woman, who was her co-worker.

Charges will be filed in District Court 42-3-01, police said.

Man injured

State police at Towanda said Virgil W. Ivy, 50, of Gillett, had an injury of unknown severity in a one-vehicle accident at 6:30 p.m. June 1 on Route 6 in Troy Township.

Police said he was traveling west in a Toyota Corolla and lost control of the vehicle, crossed the eastbound lane, and struck a guide rail. According to police, it rolled on the driver's side and slid back across the road, coming to final rest in a ditch off the westbound fog line.

Police said Ivy was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."

DUI Charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Joseph Ruddy III, 25, of Scranton, by Towanda police, on May 10, on the Merrill Parkway in Towanda. A test showed that Ruddy had a blood alcohol content of .148 percent on the day of his arrest.

Stephen P. Patel, 30, of Wysox, by Towanda police, on June 1, on South Main Street in Towanda. According to police, Patel refused to submit to a blood alcohol test on the night of his arrest.

David Andrew Ray, 24, of Lincoln, Alabama, by state police, on March 30, at the intersection of State Route 6 and Covered Bridge Road in Burlington Township. A test showed that Ray had a blood alcohol content of .233 percent on the day of his arrest.

Matthew James McGee, 34, of Gillett, by Sayre Borough police, on May 25, on South Wilbur Avenue in Sayre. McGee has also been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle. A blood alcohol test later revealed that McGee's blood alcohol content was .18 percent on the day of his arrest. McGee has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw July 30 for a preliminary hearing.

Patricia Joyce Kunkle, 28, of Towanda, by Athens Borough police, on May 30, on North Main Street in Athens. Kunkle has also been charged with driving without a valid license and failing to display headlamps. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Kunkle's blood alcohol content was .10 percent on the day of her arrest. Kunkle has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw July 30 for a preliminary hearing.

Jason Paul Wheeler, 32, of Barton, by Athens Township police, on June 28, on Riverside Drive in Athens. Wheeler has also been charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wheeler refused to submit to a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content, but admitted to police that he had drank and had recently used heroin. Wheeler was arraigned June 28 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $85,000 bail. Wheeler is scheduled to appear July 9 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for a preliminary hearing.

Dushore basketball court mischief

State police are continuing to investigate a report of criminal mischief which occurred at the basketball court in Dushore between the dates of May 19 and May 24. According to police, an unknown person drove a motor vehicle onto the court and left tire skid marks on the surface.

Two vehicle accident leaves no injuries

A June 8 two vehicle accident in Wilmot Township resulted in no injuries to either drivers. According to police, Frank J. Krebs, 48, of Butler was driving a tractor trailer and attempted to pass Patrick J. Connelly, 49, of Ashley who was operating a 2006 International Harvester 7300 on Ambrosius Road. The crash occurred when the tractor trailer hooked the right rear driver side of the harvester. Neither driver faced any charges for the crash.

Weapon possession charge

A Barton, N.Y. man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to information from the sheriff's office, Harold W. Teeple, 49, was charged following investigation into a June 25 complaint of shots fired at a location within the town of Barton. Teeple was issued tickets to appear July 23 in Barton town court.

Sex offender arrested

Waverly village police recently arrested a man on a warrant.

According to information from village police, William G. Siegmyer, 35, was wanted for failing to report a change of address as a sex offender, a felony. Siegmyer was arrested by the Niagara County, N.Y. Sheriff's Office and was turned over to Waverly police, according to police.

Siegmyer was arraigned and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.

MOOSIC POLICE: Officers responded to more than 90 calls between June 23-29.

On June 23, officers were sent to assist the Old Forge police with a call in a home in the 500 block of Sibley Avenue. An activated burglar alarm sent officers to Glenmaura National Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a domestic dispute in the 3700 block of Winefield Avenue.

On June 24, officers were dispatched to investigate an attempted burglary in the 700 block of Minooka Avenue. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of downed wires in the 3700 block of Lawrence Avenue. Officers were dispatched to serve a protection from abuse order at a residence in the 700 block of Minooka Avenue.

On June 25, officers were dispatched to investigate a trespassing complaint in the 700 block of Minooka Avenue. An activated alarm sent officers to the 2100 block of Shoppes Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Cotter Street. A reported theft of services complaint sent officers to the 3300 block of Birney Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 700 block of Edgebrook Street to investigate an activated alarm. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the 3600 block of Birney Avenue.

On June 27, officers were dispatched to investigate a theft from a motor vehicle in the 300 block of Glenmaura National Boulevard. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to 1 Fleet Way.

On June 28, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported auto theft on Montage Mountain Road. An activated alarm sent officers to the 300 block of Spruce Street. Officers conducted an investigation in the 3900 block of Winefield Avenue.

A transformer fire sent officers to the 3900 block of Winefield Avenue. Officers were dispatched to investigate a threats complaint in a home in the 2200 block of Orchard Street.

On June 29, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated alarm in the 500 block of Poppy Lane. A similar call sent officers to a home in the 700 block of Rocky Glen Boulevard. Officers also assisted emergency medical services with a call in the 4100 block of Birney Avenue.

Motorcycle stolen

COAL TOWNSHIP - David Deitrick, 38, of 814 W. State St., reported to police that sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone stole his 1989 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle.

The cycle is described as being black in color with 18-inch "apehanger" handlebars and Screamin' Eagle exhaust pipes. "Harley Davidson" is written in white on the sides of the tank.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Coal Township police at 644-0333.

Simple assault

SHAMOKIN - A Shamokin man was committed to Northumberland County Prison following a domestic argument at 29 N. Second St. Tuesday.

City police patrolman Ray Siko II reported in court documents that at 11:48 a.m., police were called to a domestic dispute at the home. When police arrived, Glenn Heim Jr., 36, was sitting on the porch, then stood up and approached the officer. The victim, Glenn Heim Sr., told police he told his son to walk the dog and he refused. In the course of an argument, Glenn Heim Jr. allegedly struck his father in the shoulder with a closed fist and pushed him and his mother, Eileen Heim.

Heim Jr. was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment related to domestic violence. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III, of Shamokin, and committed to prison on $2,500 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

2-vehicle accident

COAL TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Brewery Curve.

Patrolman Chad Yoder reported in court documents that Ashok Kumar, 52, of Selinsgrove, was exiting Center Street onto Route 61 in a 2011 Mercedes GL450 when he pulled into the path of a 2008 Dodge truck, driven by Bruce Anskis, 59, of Coal Township, causing the accident.

Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

Guilty plea

SHAMOKIN - Shannon Shaw, 26, of 447 Harrison St., Shamokin, pled guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking and was sentenced to one year probation and fined $100 plus court costs following a preliminary hearing Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III.

Shaw was charged by Shamokin City Police Cpl. Bryan Primerano of taking $15 from the front door of a residence on Coal Street on March 26. A charge of receiving stolen property was dropped in the case.

Scattering rubbish

SHAMOKIN - Holly E. Madden, 28, of 63 Raspberry Hill, was cited by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Nathan Rhodes for scattering rubbish, after throwing a soda bottle out of a moving vehicle, which struck the vehicle of Albert Loss, traveling behind her at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West Lincoln Street.

Curfew violation

SHAMOKIN - A 17-year-old Mount Carmel male was cited for violating Shamokin's curfew ordinance by being out in the 600 block of Bear Valley Avenue at 1:28 a.m. Tuesday.

The city's ordinance states that no one under the age of 18 is to be seen walking outside after 11 p.m. without an adult with them.

Held for court

MOUNT CARMEL - Lon E. Gilger, 55, of 6 E. Mill St., Elysburg, was held for court Wednesday on charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault and indecent exposure.

Gilger was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to appear for plea court Aug. 5 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, where he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

The defendant was charged by Ralpho Township Cpl. Bryon Chowka with sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl from July 5, 2010, to July 26, 2012.

Police said Gilger allegedly touched the female on several occasions, tried to have the female touch him after exposing himself and attempted to look up her shorts as she laid in bed.

According to a criminal complaint, the juvenile confided to a family friend about the incidents in emails and went to police in July 2012, when the investigation started.

Waives case

MOUNT CARMEL - Franklin M. Middaugh, 25, of 1049 W. Coal St., Trevorton, waived to court Wednesday charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver heroin, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a June 23 traffic stop along Route 901 between Excelsior and the former Boylan's Garage.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Matthew Filarski.

Middaugh was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to appear for plea court Aug. 5 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, where he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

Terroristic threats

MOUNT CARMEL - William R. Bilder, 57, of 315 S. Hickory St., Apt. 312, Mount Carmel, has been charged by Chief of Police Todd Owens with terroristic threats, stalking and disorderly conduct in connection with an April 15 disturbance at his apartment building.

According to a criminal complaint, Bilder is accused of threatening to harm Robert Tamecki.

PFA violation

ATLAS - Adam M. Hendricks, of 451 W. Third St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Matthew Filarski with violating a protection from abuse order.

Police reported Hendricks threatened to blow up the house of Debra Palestis, of 147 W. Saylor St., Atlas, and came near her residence June 9 after being prohibited from making contact with Palestis in accordance with a PFA she filed against him.

Theft charges

KULPMONT - Chad M. Keefer, 30, of 1300 Scott St., Kulpmont, and Brandy S. Hand, 26, of 955 Chestnut St., Apt. 2, Kulpmont, were charged by Patrolman Michael Pitcavage with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported Keefer and Hand are charged with stealing a small amount of money, an iPod and three XBox games from Hand's son May 10 at 955 Chestnut St., Apt. 2.

DUI

RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Benjamin M. Putnam, 38, of Bath, was charged by Patrolman Stephen Spade with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol relating to a May 16 incident outside Glosser Motor Inn along Route 487.

Police reported Putnam had a blood-alcohol content of .315 percent.

DUI

KULPMONT - Patrolman Patrick McAndrew has charged Michael P. Dunphy, 27, of 722 Spruce St., Kulpmont, with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a March 9 incident in the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

Police reported Dunphy had Alprazolam, Oxycodone and Oxymorhone in his blood system at the time of the incident.

Police make arrests

Waverly village police recently made the following arrests, according to information from the Waverly Police Department:

Josh S. Saxon, 33, of Waverly, for unlawfully growing cannabis.

Harold S. Robbins, 21, of Waverly, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, unsafe backing and criminal mischief.

Jacqueline K. Carney, 43, of Waverly, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and on a warrant out of Chemung County, N.Y.

Mary Jane Pettit, 22, of Waverly, for endangering the welfare of a child, following a physical domestic incident.

Police investigate accident

State police at Towanda recently investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident in Smithfield Township.

According to information from state police, a 2013 GMC Sierra operated by Andrew G. Jelliff, 20, of Columbia Cross Roads, was traveling north on Mac Road when a deer entered the roadway at about 9:30 p.m. June 30. The vehicle struck the deer, which was thrown into a mailbox, police said.

Police cited Jelliff, who was not injured, for speeding, police said.

Drug possession charge

A Sayre man was recently charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance by state police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Edward Gary Howard, 47, was also charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Howard was taken into custody on a federal warrant Feb. 28 at his Sayre Borough residence and was found to have psilocin and a pen case with methamphetamine residue in his possession.

Howard's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6.

Man arrested for assault

A Sayre man was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of simple assault.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Barry Harrison Keene, 35, was also charged with harassment by physical contact.

Police said Keene was involved in a domestic incident June 29 at an Owasco Road residence.

Keene was arraigned June 29 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $55,000 bail. Keene's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 9.

Assault charge filed

A Sayre man was recently arrested by borough police on a charge of simple assault.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Alan Blaine Carnrike, 40, was also charged with attempted simple assault by menace, harassment, loitering and prowling at night time and public drunkenness.

Police said Carnrike grabbed, choked and pulled the hair of a female victim during a July 5 altercation at his East Lockhart Street residence. Carnrike ran through several properties on South East Street and South Higgins Avenue in an attempt to escape apprehension, police said.

Carnrike was arraigned July 5 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $45,000 bail. Carnrike's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 9.

Man charged with simple assault

Alex Castle, 20, of Canton, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly shoving a 19-year-old Northumberland woman to the ground several times and burning her with a cigarette recently in Canton Township, said state police at Towanda.

Man taken into custody

State police at Towanda said Walter Sidney Yates, Jr., 38, of Troy, was taken into custody and later arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton after police responded to a report of a disturbance at 3:44 p.m. June 17 on Austinville Road in Columbia Township.

Troopers came into contact with Yates, and a check indicated an active criminal arrest warrant of Waverly, N.Y., police said.

Police said bail was set and Yates was subsequently committed to the Bradford County Correctional Facility.

Three injured

State police at Towanda said three people had injuries of unknown severity in a one-vehicle crash at 8:44 p.m. June 14 on Wetona Road in Springfield Township.

According to police, Sarah T. Mirabile, 19, of Troy, was traveling north on Wetona Road, south of Springfield Road, at an approximate speed of 45 mph, prior to the crash. Police said she left the travel lanes onto the eastern berm, struck a tree with her vehicle's front passenger side, which caused severe damage to the front passenger fender/hood area, and then came to final rest while facing north.

Police said passengers injured in the accident were Elizabeth S. McKay, 40, of Troy, and Sierra L. McKay, 15, of Troy.

Police said Mirabile was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."

Underage drinking

HUBLEY TOWNSHIP - State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 17-year-old male from Hegins will be cited for underage drinking after he was found unconscious lying halfway on Quaker Road at 11:25 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the teen was transported by ambulance to Schuylkill Medical Center East in Pottsville, where he underwent emergency room treatment.

Hammell was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth in the amount of $250.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance in connection with her arrest, and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. An Agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hammell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Matthew D. Murchake, 21, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 11 months, 29 days, and fines totaling $1150.00, for the offenses of Forgery and Access Device Fraud. Murchake was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3325.00. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Murchake for the offenses in January 2013.

Terrance Maguire, 41, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from four days to six months, and a fine of $1000.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Maguire will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.

Todd M. Pierce, 35, Monroeton, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months, and a fine of $750.00, for the offense of False Statement to Induce Agreement for Home Repairs. Pierce was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $3569.00. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Pierce for the offense in February 2013.

Bryan Morgan, 26, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 18 months, and a fine of $2000.00, for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property. Morgan was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $229.00. Chief Douglas Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Morgan for the offense in October 2012.

Heather L. Raezer, 25, was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $250.00, for the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking. Stephen D. Bixby, 30, Wysox, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of two years, and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bixby was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth in the amount of $100.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance in connection with his arrest, and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months. Gary Edward Eddy, 53, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Eddy for the offense.

Brandon J. Oakley, 25, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Oakley for the offenses.

Joshua Harry, 33, Tennessee, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and he will be sentenced on July 29,2013. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Harry for the offense.

Michael A. Pierce, 26, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended, Aggravated Assault, and Resisting Arrest; he will be sentenced on July 29, 2013. Officers Bruce Hoffman and Nikki Hoffman of the Sayre and Athens Borough Police Departments arrested Pierce for the offenses in July and December 2012, respectively.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons were recently placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Keeley C. Richardson, 28, Wysox, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in February 2013 by Trooper Timothy Young of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Richardson will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Richardson must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Wayne F. Talada, 26, Athens, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in March 2013 by Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Talada will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Talada must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days.

Larry Baker, 22, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in February 2013 by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Baker will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Baker must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Tracy Lee Vanderpool, 57, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function in March 2012 by Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 18 months. While on probation, Vanderpool will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Vanderpool must perform community service as a condition of ARD placement.

Marcus J. Cole, 42, Nichols, NY, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in June 2012 by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Cole will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Cole must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Known offender entered residence by removing window a/c unit, ransacked residence and stole TV and gun. TV recovered and gun located with known offender who was later arrested.

Police seek armed robbery suspect

HOPEWELL - Police are asking for the public's help to identify and apprehend an armed robbery suspect.

On Sunday at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 2014 W. Broadway St. for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation revealed that the lone armed offender entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The offender then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No person(s) were injured during the incident.

The offender is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 5 foot 4 inches to five foot 5 inches tall, and weighing 200-plus pounds, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a dark in color short-sleeved compression T-shirt, black in color shorts with white vertical stripes, a black & white patterned bandana covering his lower face, a black "doo-rag", blue in color gloves and displaying a dark colored handgun.

The Hopewell Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this matter and is following up on viable leads. The department is requesting that any person(s) who may have been traveling in and around the area of this incident and observed any suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s), contact Detective Ken Howard of the Hopewell Police Department at 804-541-2284.
