Three charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in Monroe Twp.

Three individuals were recently were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on a residence on Marcy Hill Road in Monroe Township, police said.

Charged with possession of drug paraphernalia were Nova Jo Wright, 26, of Sayre; Heather Mae Lines, 32, whose last known address is in Waverly, N.Y.; and Lauren Marie Parks, 19, whose last known address is in Troy, police said.

Lines, Parks and Wright had all been living in the residence where the search warrant was executed at the time the warrant was executed, police said.

The search warrant was executed at 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 26, police said.

Lines, Parks and Wright have been sent summonses which order them to appear before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on April 3 for a preliminary hearing.

Towanda female charged with terroristic threats

Karley Ann Johnson, 19, of Towanda has been charged with terroristic threats, harassment, and disorderly conduct, police said.

Crystal Kaye-Starr Hughes told police that Johnson had threatened to kill her numerous times, police said.

The alleged threats occurred in the afternoon of Jan. 28 in a residence on South Main Street in Towanda Township, according to the state police at Towanda.

Hughes also told police that Johnson had struck her in the face during the incident, police said.

Johnson has been sent a summons which orders her to appear for a preliminary hearing before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on April 3.

DUI charge

The following person was recently charged with driving under the influence in Bradford County:

Mark Wayne Bowen, 31, of Towanda, by the state police, on Feb. 10, in the parking lot of Colonial Plaza in North Towanda Township. Bowen was also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and several violations of the motor vehicle code. A blood test revealed that Bowen's blood alcohol content on the day of his arrest was .189 percent.

Woman charged with harassment

A Forksville woman was recently charged with harassment by state police at Laporte.

According to state police information, the 43-year-old woman, who police did not name, struck a 19-year-old female in the face twice at about 9 p.m. March 9 at a location in Forksville Borough.

State police investigating theft

State police at Laporte continue to investigate the theft of a gift card from a Colley Township location.

According to information from state police, an unknown actor removed a Walmart gift card from the Red Rock Job Corps on Route 487 sometime between Dec. 18, 2012 and Jan. 4. A staff member reported that the $1,000 gift card was discovered missing and unaccounted for during an inventory record search, police said.

The organization uses gift cards for students' educational needs and other student support needs, police said. Investigation revealed that the gift card may have been used at multiple surrounding Walmart stores, according to police.

Man incarcerated for disorderly conduct

A Waverly man was recently incarcerated by Sayre borough police on a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Nathan James Martz, 22, was also charged with public drunkenness, defiant trespassing and criminal mischief.

Police said Martz refused to leave the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn on Spring Street after being asked by hotel staff and repeatedly yelled obscenities in the hotel's lobby. Once at the borough police department, Martz repeatedly kicked the door to the holding room and spit at and attempted to bite an officer, police said.

Martz was arraigned March 10 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. Martz's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19.

Athens man arrested

An Athens man was recently arrested by borough police on a charge of criminal trespass.

According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Benjamin A. Hiley, 34, was also charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and defiant trespassing.

Police said Hiley kicked in a door of a Locust Street residence March 10, causing the door jamb to break. Police said Hiley was told to leave the residence by its tenant prior to kicking in the door.

Hiley was arraigned March 10 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $65,000 bail. Hiley's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 19.

Towanda man charged

A Towanda man was recently charged with failure to stop at an accident by Sayre borough police.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Charles B. Raupers, 22, was also charged with failure to give information and render aid, reckless driving and careless driving.

Police said Raupers, operating a green Subaru station wagon, struck a white 2002 Subaru Legacy operated by a female driver at about 9:45 p.m. March 8 on North Keystone Avenue at the banana curve. Raupers had been previously arrested that day for driving under the influence in Athens Township and told Sayre police he had no recollection of striking a vehicle in Sayre, police said.

Raupers' preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 9.

Indecent assault

State police are investigating a report of indecent assault on a 5-year-old male by an unknown actor. According to police, the victim was allegedly touched inappropriately in Rome borough.

 

Burglary in Rome

A 56-year-old male reported a burglary on the 2700 block of Lake Rd. in Rome Township which occurred between Jan. 14 and March 2.

According to police, an unknown person broke into the main door of a residence and removed several items inside. The actor then forced entry to gain access to a detached garage and barn removing more items.

Tires cut

COAL TOWNSHIP - Crystal Mrowka, 36, of 1517 W. Arch St., Coal Township, reported someone cut a tire on her vehicle while it was parked in the 1500 block of West Water Street between Sunday and Monday.

Deb Bendas, 41, of 1616 W. Arch St., Coal Township, told police someone cut two tires on her vehicle while it was parked in front of her residence during the same time.

LCB violations

WILLIAMSPORT - The Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has cited Centralia Legion Memorial Association in Conyngham Township, The Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in Bloomsburg and CASA Sanchez Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Shamokin Dam for violations.

The Centralia Legion was cited for possessing or operating gambling devices or parapahernalia or permitting gambling or lotteries, pool selling and/or bookmaking on its premises Jan. 20.

The Olive Garden and CASA Sanchez were cited for selling or furnishing liquor and/or malt or brewed beverages to a minor Feb. 7 and Jan. 15, respectively.

All the citations were issued March 7.

Contraband

COAL TOWNSHIP - Tina Marie Hoskins-Knight, 30, of Philadelphia, has been charged by Trooper Brian Ronk of state police at Stonington with contraband and possession of Suboxone relating to a Dec. 16 incident in the visitor's parking lot at SCI-Coal Township.

Police said 10 Suboxone pills packaged in a balloon-like material were found in an envelope in a purse belonging to Hoskins-Knight.

Tables stolen

HICKORY CORNERS - Theresa Yerger, of Dalmatia, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between 7 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, someone came onto her property at Dairy Road, Hickory Corners, and removed a white wicker coffee table and a redwood end table from her porch. The items are valued at $150.

Disorderly conduct

Zachary Evan Coolbaugh, 21, of Towanda has been charged with disorderly conduct relating to a Feb. 23 incident in the NAPA Auto Parts parking lot in Wysox.

According to police, Coolbaugh was the passenger of a vehicle with a suspected DUI driver. As police performed field sobriety testing on the driver, Coolbaugh continually exited the vehicle after being told multiple times to stay in the car by police.

Coolbaugh was arraigned on Feb. 23 and remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $2,500 bail by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Mark David Conner, 31, of New Albany, by state police, on Feb. 22, on Route 6 in Wyalusing Township. Conner has also been charged with failure to yield, careless driving, and driving without a seat belt. Conner was involved in an two vehicle crash which led to his arrest. Conner has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on April 4 for a preliminary hearing.

Jason S. Morgan, 43, of 7229 Ulster Rd., Ulster, Pa., by Towanda Police, on Feb. 18, in Towanda Borough. Morgan was also charged with careless driving, possessing an open container of an alcohol beverage while operating a vehicle, and careless driving. Morgan's vehicle was stopped after police observed it being operated in an erratic manner in the borough. A blood test later revealed that Morgan's blood alcohol content was .201 percent on the day of his arrest. Morgan has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on April 19.

Woman faces drug paraphernalia charge

A woman was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton recently, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to information filed in Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark's office, Tiffany Helen Rinebold, 26, no address given, was arrested by Towanda police on March 2 for the above offense.

Investigating officer Josh Lake reported being contacted by someone, who informed him that drug paraphernalia belonging to Rinebold was at a residence at 200 William St. in Towanda. Investigating the complaint at the residence, Lake took into possession a backpack and pencil bag purported belonging to Rinebold. Further investigation at the station revealed the backpack and bag contained numerous items normally employed in illicit drug use, including clear glass pipe, two cut straws with white powder residue, a knife with burned residue on it, and a spoon to "melt" drugs with residue.

Rinebold was released by Wheaton on $5,000 unsecured bail. Rinebold's preliminary hearing before Judge Clark is scheduled for March 20.

Man charged with possession

A Columbia Cross Roads man has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark to answer a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to information filed in Clark's office, Arthur Lloyd Barrett, 46, was charged by the state police with the above offense following an incident on Nov. 12.

Trooper Michael Adams who conducted the investigation reported going to a private residence in Franklin Township to investigate a tip of a wanted person hiding there. When he arrived, Adams said, he investigated a motor home on the property and found Barrett inside. A pat down search revealed to hypodermic needs, Adams reported. Further investigation revealed track marks on Barrett's arm, which had come from the injection of "bath salts," according to the report.

Barrett's preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3.

Man charged with simple assault

A Towanda man was ordered incarcerated in Bradford County jail recently, on a charge of simple assault.

Papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark indicated that Thomas John Nicholson, 27, of 101 Means St., Apt. 3, has also been charged by Towanda police with harassment.

According to Officer John Lake who investigated the incident, he was contacted on March 2 by Leilani Kai Chamberlain, who reported being assaulted by Nicholson earlier during a domestic dispute. Chamberlain also showed Lake some of the injuries she claimed she received during the incident.

Nicholson's preliminary hearing is scheduled today before Judge Clark.

Man charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse

A Towanda man has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark to answer a charge of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

According to information filed in Clark's office, Christopher Doug Stoudt, 27, of 202 Lombard St., has also been charged by Towanda police with corruption of minors. Stoudt has been charged with having improper sexual contact with a child less than 13 years of age.

Stoudt's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 3.

Harassment by prisoner

COAL TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington have charged an inmate with aggravated harassment by a prison after an incident at SCI-Coal Township at 8:39 p.m. March 6.

Police said an inmate, described in a press release as a black male, threw or tossed a liquid substance on correctional officer Damien Kratz while he was performing a security round at the prison. The investigation remains open while the liquid is being tested.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Todd Hummel, 46, of 124 E. Chestnut St., was cited by city police for disorderly conduct and harassment after allegedly punching Eric Carmen, 20, of Shamokin, and threatening him, using obscentities on a public street at 5:01 p.m. Saturday in the area of Independence and Ninth streets. The citations were filed by Shamokin City Police Cpl. Darwin Tobias III.

Endangering child

SNYDERTOWN - State police at Stonington continue to investigate an incident of child endangerment that occurred at 7:16 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Kampco, 1405 Snydertown Road, Upper Augusta Township.

Police were called to the scene on a report of an unattended four-year-old walking on Snydertown Road. Prior to police arriving, the child was picked up by an unknown person, and later found at his parents' residence.

A preliminary investigation showed that one of the parents drove to a set of storage units near Kampco and had accidently locked the child and the keys in the vehicle. The child was then left unattended while the parent talked to their residence near Oaklyn, and while the parent was gone, the child got out of the car and began walking on Snydertown Road.

Retail theft

SHAMOKIN - City police cited two juveniles for retail theft in separate incidents involving the Dollar General store on Independence Street.

Cpl. Darwin Tobias III cited a 14-year-old Coal Township male after he allegedly stole a $2 item from the store at 8:17 p.m. March 6.

A 16-year-old Shamokin male was cited by Patrolman William Zalinski after allegedly taking $1.26 worth of candy from the story at 2:29 p.m. on Feb. 18.

Waives hearing

SHAMOKIN - Alicia N. Bordner, 21, of 715 N. Vine St., Shamokin, waived to court two counts of possession with intent to deliver morphine, possession of a counterfeit substance by an unauthorized person, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal use of certain solvents, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility.

The charges filed by Patrolman Raymond Siko II relate to a Nov. 21 incident in Shamokin.

Multiple assaults

SUNBURY - City police are actively investigating multiple assaults involving juveniles during the past several weeks before, during and after school hours near Shikellamy Middle/High School.

Police said school district officials, concerned citizens and multiple parents have cooperated throughout the investigation. Officers have utilized videos posted on Facebook, YouTube, as well as SMS Texting, eyewitnesses and other sources during the probe.

Multiple arrests are pending for conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Charges also are pending for juveniles promoting viral videos of the damaging events.

Police reported they are strongly promoting all initiatives to mitigate any bullying and fighting among youths.

Child endangerment and drug charges

Tonya Lee Merritt, 24, and Roger Armando Coello, 26, both of Wyalusing have been charged by the Bradford County Sheriff's Office with endangering the welfare of children, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance relating to a Feb. 27 incident in Camptown.

According to police, deputies arrived at the residence to serve a warrant on Coello. After finding him inside, police found a glass pipe with marijuana residue in the house within reach of two small children approximately 2-years-old.

Also within reach of the children were two fixed blade knives.

Merritt and Coello have been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Mar. 12 for a preliminary hearing.

Two men charged for burglary conspiracy

Robert John Nemeth, 49, of Wyalusing and Christopher Mark Walter, 48, of Sugar Run have both been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal conspiracy, and criminal trespass relating to a Dec. 7 incident in Wyalusing Borough.

Nemeth and Walter were spotted by several citizens stealing a lawn mower from 157 State St. in Wyalusing, police said.

Walter was released on $2500 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on March 26 for a preliminary hearing.

Nemeth was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on March 12 for a preliminary hearing.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

William J. Vosburgh, 34, of Sayre, by Sayre borough police, on Feb. 15, on Stedman Street in Sayre. Vosburgh has also been charged with disorderly conduct. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Vosburgh's blood alcohol content was .13 percent on the day of his arrest. Vosburgh has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw April 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Two charged for inhalant use

Two men were recently charged with the sale or illegal use of certain solvents and noxious substances by state police at Towanda.

According to information from state police, Brandon Warren Luckman, 24, of Towanda, and Damien James Kirkey, 21, of Troy, were found to be inhaling duster spray at about 3:25 p.m. March 11 at a location at Route 220 and Covered Bridge Road in Ulster Township.

Charges will be filed against the two in district court, police said.

Firearm lost

State police at Towanda seek a firearm recently lost in Litchfield Township.

According to state police information, a man lost his Smith and Wesson .22 caliber pistol somewhere either on or near a property on Park Hollow Road. The firearm was lost sometime between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. March 6, he said.

Anyone with information on the pistol's whereabouts is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.

Sportsman's club cited

A Ridgebury Township establishment was recently cited by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement district office in Williamsport.

According to information from the bureau, Ridgebury Sportsman's Club Inc., located at 961 Centerville Road, received a citation March 7 for failing to have its board-approved manager complete Responsible Alcohol Management Program training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment.

The bureau states that the charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The ALJ can also impose a license suspension, revocation or mandate training for the licensee, according to the bureau.

Two charged with harassment

Two men were recently charged with harassment by state police following a dispute in Ridgebury Township.

According to information from state police at Towanda, Mark L. Smith, 41, of Gillett, and Scott J. Greene, 33, of Sayre, were charged following a verbal dispute that turned into a physical altercation at about 6 p.m. March 3 in the parking lot of the Ridgebury Volunteer Fire Company hall on Berwick Turnpike.

Assault in Standing Stone

Tabitha Arlene Vanderpool, 33, of Wyalusing has been charged with simple assault, and harassment relating to a Feb. 24 incident in Standing Stone Township.

According to police, Vanderpool was found heavily intoxicated and standing in the middle of Mosler Rd. after attacking her boyfriend.

Vanderpool was held on $1,000 bail prior to her preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on March 5.

Driver 'serious'

TREVORTON - Kenneth J. Duitch, 37, of Trevorton, suffered a neck injury in a one-car crash Wednesday night along Birch Road (Township Route 445) near Cedar Road.

State police at Stonington reported Duitch was driving a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder south at 6:19 p.m. when his vehicle exited the road after going over loose gravel while negotiating an uphill right curve. Police said Duitch attempted to regain control of the vehicle, which re-entered the road and traveled across both lanes before hitting a ditch with its front end. After striking the ditch, the Pathfinder rolled onto its driver's side before coming to rest.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Paul's Towing.

Duitch was transported by Americus Ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where he was listed in serious condition Thursday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Also assisting were members of Stonington Fire Company, Trevorton Fire Company and Friendship Hose Co. 552, Sunbury.

Beer theft

ATLAS - Mark James Derr, 20, of 328 S. Grape St., Mount Carmel, has been charged by Mount Carmel Township Chief of Police Brian Hollenbush with theft, retail theft and receiving stolen property relating to a Jan. 8 incident at the Pine Burr along Route 61.

Police reported Derr is accused of stealing a six-pack of beer valued at $7.

Derr, who is on probation for another offense, was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones and committed to Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Burglary offenses

RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Police here have charged Justin W. Cressinger, 25, of 1120 Rear West Front St., Lot 3, Berwick, with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Patrolman Christopher Grow, Cressinger allegedly entered the residence of Art Hower, 66 Circle View Drive, Elysburg, and stole a sweatshirt, a pair of Wolverine boots, a flashlight and a pair of camouflage pants. Police said the burglary occurred between Nov. 1 and 3.

Multiple charges

MOUNT CARMEL - Joshua Robert Potter, 20, of 439 Vine St., Sunbury, faces multiple charges involving incidents that occurred during the early-morning hours of Dec. 22 in the 300 block of East Center Street.

He is charged by Cpl. David Donkochik with two counts each of theft from a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night and corruption of minors, and one count of possessing a prohibitive offensive weapon, possessing an instrument of crime and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported Potter and a 16-year-old male allegedly stole prescription medications from a car owned by Jerry Matzura, and money from a vehicle belonging to Kaitlyn Anderson.

Police said Potter and the juvenile were found hiding inside a vacant house shortly after the thefts. Upon being taken into custody, police found piles of change, gloves, a pistol pellet gun and drug paraphernalia, plus two knives, hand tools and a Dell laptop in Potter's backpack.

Potter was arraigned Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones and committed to county jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Heroin possession

MOUNT CARMEL - Adam Joseph Powell, 27, of 49 W. Second St., Mount Carmel, was arraigned Wednesday by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones on charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of heroin relating to an incident March 21, 2012, at his residence.

Police reported Powell possessed eight bags of heroin.

Landlord citations

SHAMOKIN - Citations were filed against 11 city landlords for failing to obtain licenses for their rental properties.

Rick Bozza, code officer, filed the citations Thursday against George Atiyeh, of Allentown, Cheryl Daycock, of Leck Kill, Barry Getchey, of Shamokin, Walter Hyde, of Shamokin, Gloria Kallman, of Coal Township, Shawn Kallman, of Coal Township, Leona Mako, of Staffordsville, Va., William Maher, of Kulpmont, Anthony Rosini, of Danville, Jesse Vaughin, of Williamsport, and Randall Weiser, of Herndon.

Teen kicks officer

COAL TOWNSHIP - A 15-year-old male student at Shamokin Area Middle/High School has been charged with kicking Coal Township Patrolman Chris Lapotsky during a disturbance at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the school.

Police said the Shamokin teen, who caused a disturbance, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct. He was taken into custody and released to Northumberland County Juvenile Services.

Retail theft

COAL TOWNSHIP - Heather Ann Frank, 28, of 331 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Jason Adams with retail theft for allegedly stealing $102.06 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart Supercenter on Route 61 on Feb. 23.

Couple charged

COAL TOWNSHIP - A Lansford couple have been charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart Supercenter on Route 61 on Jan. 1.

Joseph M. Gannecilli, 37, and his wife, Kathleen M. Gannecilli, 41, are charged with misdemeanors of retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft.

According to a criminal complaint, the Gannecillis removed two shopping carts full of merchandise totaling $1,041.13 between 8:45 and 10:15 p.m. The couple left the store and walked to a van in the parking lot before being stopped by assistant manager Larry Pancher, who retrieved most of ther merchandise before the Gannecillis fled from the area in the van.

Police were able to identify the thieves through surveillance video at the store and vehicle registration obtained by Pancher.

MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court April 28 in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

- Hassan Quarles, 45, of 901 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, pleaded guilty to one summary count of harassment and was ordered to pay a fine and costs totaling $605.90. Two counts of terroristic threats and another count of harassment were withdrawn.

Qaurles was charged by Kulpmont Patrolman Patrick McAndrew with threatening to shoot Joseph Drost II in the legs and calling his girlfriend, Isamar Hertzog, "an easy target," according to a criminal complaint.

The alleged incident occurred about 4:30 a.m. Feb. 2 at Turkey Hill Minit Market, 862 Chestnut St., when Drost confronted Quarles for repeatedly flirting with Hertzog.

- David X. Hernandez, 18, of 244 W. Cherry St., Mount Carmel, pleaded guilty to a summary of disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a fine and costs totaling $605.90. Charges of theft and receiving stolen property were withdrawn.

Hernandez was charged by Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman with stealing nine DVDs, blood pressure medications and Viagra tablets having a total value of $205. Police said the items were stolen from Abdul Faiz on Feb. 5 at 8 S. Oak St.

- Stacey L. Darginski, 27, of 310 Main St., Ranshaw, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a $500 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year. An additional charge of possession of a controlled substance was withdrawn.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets Jr. in connection with a March 12, 2012, incident at the intersection of Routes 901 and 54 near Boylan's Garage.

- Tyler Anthony Lenig, 25, of 2993 Lower Road, Shamokin, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was ordered to pay a fine and costs totaling $302. Additional charges of criminal mischief, careless driving and recklessly endangering another person were withdrawn.

Lenig was charged by Trooper Todd Leiby of state police at Stonington in connection with a Jan. 16, 2011, road rage type incident along Routes 125, 2046 and 3004 in West Cameron Township.

Burglary

Alexander Wade Vann, 19, of Rome has been charged with Burglary after breaking into a house on March 4 in Rome.

Vann entered the house while a resident was in the bathroom, but was later spotted and recognized after the resident heard noises inside the house.

According to police, Vann later admitted that he went to the residence in order to steal Vicodin.

Vann was held at the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail prior to his preliminary hearing on March 12 before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.

Drug charges

Christina Scott Paris, 21, of Wyalusing has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Dec. 5 incident in Wysox.

According to police, bath salts and hypodermic needles, a digital scale, and small zip-lock baggies were found in a wrecked vehicle at Shelby's Trucking in Wysox.

Paris was a passenger of the vehicle when it crashed.

Paris was held at the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail before her preliminary hearing on March 12 before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.

No injuries in one car crash

Gary N. Hosley, 65, of Rome was not injured during a one car accident on March 3 on Pleasant Street in Rome Township.

According to police, the crash occurred when Hosley was traveling east on Pleasant Street and lost control on a downhill section of road which was lightly covered with snow.

The vehicle then left the roadway and struck a large tree.

Hosley was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.

The 2004 Honda Odyssey sustained disabling damage to the front of the vehicle during the incident.

Hosley was charged with a traffic citation for failing to stay in his lane.

Water truck accident

Devin M. Catherman, 21, of Wellsboro escaped injury Tuesday when his 2012 Peterbilt water truck lost steering and traveled off the roadway, striking numerous trees.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:21 p.m. on state Route 1049 in Windham Township.

According to police, Catherman was traveling west when his vehicle experienced an unknown malfunction which caused it to lose steering capabilities.

The vehicle left the roadway, moving along the northern berm and into a small ditch. The truck then struck numerous trees and shrubbery located in the berm which caused damage to the right front fender area.

Catherman was using his seat belt at the time of the accident and he was not charged with any violations.
